Australian Bridging Visa B (BVB)

What Is A Bridging Visa B (BVB)?

A Bridging visa B (BVB) Subclass 020 is a temporary visa granted when an application is lodged in Australia for a new substantive visa while holding a current substantive visa. It allows a person to remain lawfully in Australia after their current substantive visa ends and while their new substantive visa application is being processed. Unlike a Bridging visa A, a BVB also allows a person to travel outside of Australia and return while their substantive visa application is being processed.
The BVB permits travel in and out of Australia within the specified travel period. It allows a person to remain lawfully in Australia until a decision is made on their substantive visa application. Generally, it inherits the visa conditions applicable to the last substantive visa.
